Afzelia Xylay Burl: Afzelia xylocarpa: Incredibly rare wood to see, Afzelia is sometimes used as a high end mahogany substitute. Afzelia Xylay burl is very similar to Amboyna burl and sometimes confused with it. The color trends more orange than red however. In properties, it is also very dense, fine grained and will take an excellent polish. Especially after stabilizing the wood has an excellent mix of durability and workability. Stabilized by K&G
