BEST Pieces

These are the finest selected blocks from all species. If they have amazing color, figure, or other characteristics that make them uniquely beautiful, they end up here.

The Best does not always mean the best in absolute terms, but more the best of the species. The best Amboyna burl might be the finest eyes with blooded color, but a piece that showed very interesting heartwood/ sapwood lines could also be considered a best piece.

I try to take into account many factors before i label my blocks as Best, and I hope that you and your clients will appreciate the finest woods i can procure.
