African Blackwood Burl

These are pieces of African blackwood burl, its an incredibly rare wood and it is beautiful, unlike any other wood ive sold. It is also very difficult to accuratly photograph. In dark woods, you tend to oversaturate an image and show figure, but not the real blackness of the color or you accuratly show the color but the figure can not be made out.

These blocks are dried as carefully as I can, but burl will check. Luckily, CA glue, dyed CA glue or black epoxy work pefectly and will make any checks disappear quite well. I do my best to dry and care for wood, but checks are always a risk.
