Cocobolo

Cocobolo: Dalbergia Retusa: One of the most classic woods for knife handles, cocobolo is everything a natural wood handle could be. Dense, durable, waterproof, oily and able to take a fine polish. Colors range from yellow to reds, oranges and blacks. Many cocobolo sellers sell new growth Nicaraguan cocobolo which is less dense and tends to be more yellow/ brown. I do my best to stock only old stock Mexican cocobolo, with its deep reds and oranges with black line figure.
