Hello everyone, I'm selling a billet of super high quality Afzelia xylay. This piece has no cracks, checks, or bug holes I can see. After milling up some of it its been super solid. The figure is very heavy across this piece, and it has sapwood which is very rare. In my experience, the sapwood tends to get bug eaten quickly. 

This piece has been put through a time saver, its flat and even on both sides, though given that its flat sawn it can move over time. Moisture is 15% measuring at .75 density which is my estimate for this.

Afzelia Xylay is awesome material similar to sapele or mahogany. Its more dense than Hondoran Mahogany, African mahogany, or sapele and similar to Bubinga in density, ~.75-.85. The figure shows best in Flat sawn regions its super rare to find the good figure. I stabilize it and sell it has handle blocks or scales, its always popular. 

This is sized for pool cues, or a guitar body. Its expensive material, but very unusual to find in this size. If you have any questions please let me know
