Goldfields Burl
Goldfields burl: Eucalyptus spp. Goldfields Burls aren't a specific tree species, but rather rare growths found on various eucalyptus trees in Australia's goldfields region. These include York gum, Snap and Rattle, Red Malle, and Yellow Box trees. Goldfields Burls are primarily found in the goldfields region of Australia. This encompasses arid and semi-arid areas across Western Australia, South Australia, and parts of New South Wales. The harsh environment, with extreme temperatures and limited water, contributes to the slow growth and density of these burls. The wood is very dense and durable and qill not require stabilizing. While very solid, the burls can sometiems form small checks which are easily addressed with CA glue.
