Ringed Gidgee 10B (2 x 1 5/16 x 6 1/4)
Ringed Gidgee: Acacia cambagei: Ringed gidgee is a favorite of knifemakers on par with ironwood and Amboyna. It's a super dense, fine grained, stable member of the Acacia family from arid zones of Australia. Many blocks show excellent curl figure along with quilt, making the wood complex figured. As these blocks are shaped, interesting figure interactions will show in the grain. The wood does not need stabilizing, and is dense enough to sink in water.
