Stabilized Amboyna Burl

Amboyna: Pterocarpus indicus: Amboyna is a mechnically excellent, fine grained wood that forms clean, highly burls in a range of colors from yellow orange to blood red. Pieces with "Red" in the name are harvested in Laos and Cambodia, they are generally denser, old stock burls that tend to show deeper color. Blocks generally listed as B are harvested in Java and Sulawesi and have a wider variation of color and figure. Stabilizing is done by K&G, resulting in a dense, durable wood that polishes very well.
